About Steve

• Steve's qualifications and experience as both a current Driver Testing Officer (DTO) AND a current Driving Instructor are truly unique in New Zealand.

• With his NZTA accreditation and endorsements for most licence classes, he is well-equipped to TEACH and TEST for different types of vehicles from cars & trucks through to motorbikes. (Although for now, he prefers just to teach for Class 1 Cars, as this is where Steve sees the greatest need for his expert help).

​

• Steve's extensive experience of conducting around 14,000 driving tests has given him a deep understanding of the importance of proper instruction and tuition to avoid dangerous situations on the road. 

​

• Far too often, he sees drivers overcome with nerves during a test. Sometimes a lack of professional tuition or simply not knowing what to do to be safe, is a concerning but increasing trend. This can all be changed with expert help & guidance from Steve.

• He sincerely wishes to help drivers develop an excellent level of competence and confidence that allows you to foresee and safely negotiate through any driving situation that arises.

• Steve is very familiar with all the Restricted and Full Licence test routes in and around the Tauranga region.​​
